Notice of Public Process Meeting For Tier III Permit Application:
Meeting scheduled for December 16, 2010 @ 6:30 PM at the Atoka Community Center
The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has received a Tier III hazardous waste management permit application from Oklahoma Materials Recycling, Inc. (OMR) for proposed plans to initiate operations that includes management of hazardous waste for storage prior to metals reclamation. The OMR facility which is proposed for storage is located at 325A North West Industrial Road, Atoka, Oklahoma 74525 in Atoka County. The waste management operation is located in Section 1 of Township 2 South, Range 11 East.
In response to public requests, DEQ has scheduled a public process meeting on December 16, 2010 at 6:30 pm at the Atoka Community Building located at 909 West Liberty Road, Atoka, Oklahoma 74525. At this meeting DEQ will discuss the permitting process including DEQ jurisdiction, rules, timelines and steps a company must take which determine if environmental permits are issued. The meeting also serves to provide the public with information on the public participation opportunities during permit review. DEQ will explain how and when the public can review and comment on any proposed permits, including taking part in public comment meetings, which may arise from the applications submitted by OMR. The meeting is open to the public and all interested citizens are urged to attend.
If the DEQ determines that the application meets the requirements for a hazardous waste storage permit, a Proposed Draft Permit will be prepared and made available for public review and comment at that time. Anyone may submit comments on the application or proposed draft permit for a hazardous waste storage permit, providing factual information relating to permit issuance or conditions.

Public Notice:
Oklahoma Materials Recycling LLC (OMR LLC) will hold an informal meeting at 10:00 AM on 23 July 2010 at the Atoka Community Center to present and discuss the intent of OMR LLC to apply for a permit to operate a solid waste storage facility at 355 E. North Hills Road, Atoka, OK 74525 (within the Atoka City Industrial Park). This application will be submitted to the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ).
Waste materials stored at this facility are regulated under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and will be used as part of OMR LLC’s metals recycling operations to be established at the same address.
